Update:

  • It snowed in Graceville this past Friday, just after i left for a dnow. but it was the fluffy white stuff. about 2 inches of it. the natives went crazy having never seen snow before and it was funny. it was gone by the next day.
  • I lead a group of seven 7th grade girls this past weekend in a DNow in Tallahassee. it was great! I am praying that as i desire to crave the word of God, they will to.
  • Im researching the Aboriginal people of Australia for a paper.
  • Though i greatly enjoy learning the material in my classes, the reading is overwelming and i am having trouble finding time to really be able to get it all done. I think i love "Breather" time too much. Trying to work on discipline. Scripture of the week is 1 Cor. 9:24-27.
  • Trying to learn just a couple words and such of spanish, try and freshen up on what i learned in high school. Preppin for Peru! the trip is lookin like its gonna be so interesting...I have a meeting next friday bout the details, cant wait to update you on the in's and out's of it.
  • Just found out that my Brother Jimmy is leaving in March for a year deployment to Afghanistan. I really respect our military and what they do to serve our country. I just selfishly wish Jimmy didnt have to go. Please keep him and my sister-in-law(his wife) Sophia in your prayers. theyve been married 2 years and have only been able to live together about 7 months of that time. He's been out of the states on various deployments for at least 6 or more years. I miss him, so i cant even begin to fathum how Sophia is doing.
  • Alot of you have been in my thoughts lately, its crazy. I wonder if the Lord places ppl on our minds to remind us to pray for them. hope all of you are doing well, know that when the you pop in my mind im liftin ya up in prayer.
  • life is chaos.

lil update of normal stuff...

just gonna do it in list form...
  • got my hair cut, its still got its length, just trimmed and a little more life to it(so wierd to say that hair has life, or looks like it has life cause in reality, its just dead cells...haha)
  • LOVE my classes! intense amount of reading, but so awesome! this is what I wanted out of college, subjects that interest and stretch me in a way i love!!
  • cough is almost gone, even after taking nyquil every night since last friday its still lingering...kinda crazy...
  • Plane ticket to Peru is bought, we will be having a meeting about all the details soon and ill update you on that then. I realize ive not shared much about the trip but really cool thing happened this past weekend that i believe was just more confirmation from the Lord. I was at a Missions Retreat at Camp Victory and the first night, i knew some of the missionaries that were there but the two that sat at my table for dinner i had not met yet. one introduced herself and then stated that she was about to move to Peru for basically the rest of her life as a missionary! of all the tables she could have sat at, she chose mine... we chatted about peru all weekend and i got to eat a chicken foot in prep for my trip, Yum...!
  • I really dont know what im going to do this summer...I thought i knew, but for some reason, well, i dont know whats going on...
  • My roommate is moving out this weekend, NOTHING BAD HAPPENED!!! she just became really great friends with someone here who happens to not have a roommate so they prayed about it and decided to room together. its ok. im not hurt or anything...just a twist in the semester and well, the Lord knows what is up with that.
  • My sister had a baby, she is super small and super cute and has a full head of black hair and her name is Venice Pauline Saraceno. I love her...she is pretty much gorgeous!
  • gave my first speech in class tuesday, i was so nervous, it was a personal experience and the title of mine was "The Road to *almost* Africa". i moved around a bunch and bumped into the dry erase board. the audience laughed a bunch and i just kinda let loose and did it. i was told that i have good stage presence, which shocked me... and that i was very enthusiastic and entertaining...but i have to work on my eye contact. apparently i didnt scan the crowd well, i looked up at the ceiling and down at the floor and from one wall to the other. it was fun though and they enjoyed the story.

Thats it for now.

Busy days...

I must admit, im not doing well with time management. im managing to get by with getting things done, everything except working out. which is not cool and i want to work it in the schedule somewhere but with Jesus Time, Classes, Homework, Work, Church, Truth Project, Dorm Council, Prayer Group, and sleeping there is just not much time left over....I even have been pushing my Jesus time back and finding myself having to hurry through it, its been a good 2 weeks since ive just been able to sit with my Savior. I havent missed a day getting in His word, but i feel the drag sometimes.
Dont get me wrong, im not sad, or down or anything, Just BUSY!!! Our President(of the school, ...hhaha just clarifying...) spoke in chapel the first week about being Busy, but in a good way. Being so busy that you keep from doing what you shouldnt be doing. Busy in a way that you are able to keep from hanging out with the wrong ppl, or entertain anything that could bring you down in your faith. So a plus to my business is that ive managed to be distracted or refocused...but i miss my time in my Saviors arms, even if it is only for 30-45minutes a day, i want it back. so ill be revamping the schedule and reprioritizing... this weekend is gonna be a good time to really think things out.
I love school though and things are shifting in my life a little. read the next blog for that...
