cars and evil transmissions....
so the car didnt like me yesterday. the transmission copped out on me, i luckily and by God's help alone, made it to the auto place where the fixed the transmission. car costs are ridiculous. im riding a bike from now on! it was like $600!!!!!!!! but i didnt pay it, luckily again, its the parents car, and not mine....
sorry tracee for not being able to come over! give the kids hugs for me!

confusion of the day!
ok so its saturday morning, the day i usually get to sleep in til like 8:30 or 9. not so today. today was supposed to be my Niece and Nephew's Christening...yeah according to my mom....
so i get up and like 7:20. im getting ready. almost done. when in walks my mom, she found the invite while straightening up her room and realized that i was right! it is TOMORROW!!!! jeez! so sadly i have missed 2 hours of extra sleep. and have nothing to do for my saturday but clean.
oh snap, and someone, not gonna mention names, but it wasnt me. lost my contacts...so im on a mission to find them if they are findable!!! FOUR BOXES!!! gone in a poof! if anyone know how much contacts are then you know how tradgic this is! for those who dont, four boxes (12 pairs) cost me $100. i hope we (me and nameless loser of the contacts) find them cause i leave soon and dont want to have to wear my glasses all the time!!!
ill put pics or something up of the babies later!

psalm 22
hey yall. this may make no sense to you, but i think can relate to our lives...i know it does for me.
ok so Psalm 22. i was reading there today. and its basically a passage where david is just complaining to God, telling him his woes, frustations and all that...but i dont see it as just complaining. maybe im wrong. but have you ever just had to speak what was in your head. and as you are saying it outloud, it makes more sense, whether it makes you feel even more like a goof ball or watever, speaking your thoughts outloud(and im not saying that you should just go around saying the first thing that pops in your head, cause we all know that would be stupid) but yeah, when you speak your thoughts out loud, you begin to fully comprehend what it is that you were trying to figure out. or you realize how aweful and cruel things might sound.
so back to David, i really think that he was just doing that. i think he was talking to God, and yeah, he was complaining...that obvious if you read it you can clearly see that he was. but as he is talking, he begins to see where God was in the situations that he was talking about. He begins to see the answer, to see God in the situation. and i dont know, it was just really awesome.
sometimes when i am going through a struggle in life, ive caught myself thinkin, "God, if you love me, then WHY am i going through this. Ive been faithful, ive tried to be Good, and do YOUR will! ive served you in this way and in that way and this is what i get in return?" and when i think these things, it doesnt take but a split second later for that lil voice to go, "I LOVE YOU, dont you know that!" its just crazy, like i can be thinkin and thinkin about something for a LONG time, and the second i VOICE my concerns, and i say VOICE because "Ask and it shall be answered, seek and you shall find" if you dont ask, then he may know but you wont be answered. but yeah,the second i VOICE my concerns its like a lightbulb goes off because i can hear Him ANSWERING!!!!!
and its like this, have you ever asked a question to someone and before you even finish what you are asking you realize the answer and then voice the answer too...(maybe im alone in that, but yeah...it happens to me alot)
i have no idea if that even makes sense...it does to me, but thats cause it was what came out of my brain...see this happens...i can never fully get out my point, but its a good point..i just butcher it when i try to write or talk about it... and you cant have sound effects or hand gestures when typing so that lil aid i have when im talking just goes out the window!
sorry...if you read this and are completely lost then just realize this...Jesus Love You! and no matter what you go through in life, He will always be right there with you, he will never leave or forsake you.
an as a side note cause i forgot to say it and just realized that...sometimes, when we are doing Gods will for our lives, satan will attack us. He will do anything in his power to keep us from doing Gods will. he will do anything he can to keep us from telling others about christ.just a thought...keep livein for God, hes got your back!

a smidge overwellemed and discouraged
so i filed my FAFSA. got denied for financial aid. am 18 and have no credit so loans are thrown out the door.(from what ive researched, i cant even get student loans) not able to find any scholarshipt.(never been good with search engines and the internet) getting a smidge worried.
i know that somehow it will work out. but i cant help but slightly worry about how exactly its going to work out. not knowing how God will provide scares me a bit. but not as much as you would think it should...
now that im thinking about it. its crazy how God works things out. we are going through a study in sunday school about fear...
Psalm 56:3 But when I am afraid,I will put my trust in you.
Psalm 27:1 The Lord is my light and my salvation—so why should I be afraid?The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger,so why should I tremble?

becky and global are reunited for 36 or so hours...
FYI before reading all this, know that if you dont care about the details then you may want to stop reading now. cause this is just so i could record wat happened...HELLO! MEMORIES!!!!!!
ok so friday morning, when i last posted, i woke up at 8:45 lifted my head from the pillow looked at my phone for the time, and then looked over at michele on the computer and said "5hrs 15min" then laid my head back down and fell asleep for a few more minutes!
5 hours turned into 6 because Global arrived around 3 instead of 2...which was fine,
ill back up and tell you of the day.
IT WAS GORGEOUS OUTSIDE!!!!!! Sunny and bright and colorful and a lil breeze so you dont over heat or get yucky!!!! we got ready, and RA was checking the rooms and came in while we were straightening our hair, and was like "you know convo is right now right?"...oops...we were late...but we never planned on going in the first place..we had made a "coffee and jean shopping" date for around 10 meaning we would miss conov(convocation).
ne who after we met up with my good friend Rebecca for coffee and jean shopping, we then went over to North Campus for lunch with our friend Jeff. then we walked from north to the Raut to: enjoy the beautiful day, settle my excitement level down a smidge(i think i was starting to freak michele out), and also to just by some time.
well we got over to the Raut and Global was still 20 minutes or so away. so we enjoyed the beautiful day some more and sat beneath the big pink trees on the hill, Zach, Tanja and Erin joined us too.
and then to sum it all up..
Global arrived at last! i lead the four of down to meet with them, then proceeded to KIRK OUT and JUMP for JOY when i saw them pull up! we all said hello, well tanja erin michele and zach said hello and shook hands, i on the other hand, well lets just say that jumping alot and hugs and all that were involved!
k so we helped them set up, i got repremanded for forgeting to wear tennis shoes to load out/load in day...my b...
and of course, only i would be the one to find the ONLY puddle in the building and not pay attention to what i was doing and COMPLETELY slip! jeans were messed up after that...
then we helped with product, and got some AMAZING SMOOTHIES!
got a good healthy dose of Madea lingo!!! (thanks Jay!!!)
then we were off to the play.
which in short, kinda stunk...i expected better, and the lead was actually the understudy of the lead because the lead got cast in a movie that Billy Gram is making...
so then, after the play since we didnt eat since lunch and it was like 11pm, we went to sheets for a snack. twas good!
k so that was friday.
saturday we had fun! Michele and i started the day with having coffee with our friend from forever ago, Laken!!! love that girl! she is awesome! k then we went to walmart after we dropped some coffee off for Jay, which i had spilt on my shirt...so we went to walmart...got me some febreeze to go because tanja's room smelt alittle...and i got a tide pen to get the coffee out of my shirt...and it was raining when we were leaving wallyworld, which is no biggie! i love the rain...kinda stuck though cause i had just straightened my hair..but my hair is naturally straight so what eve! and newho...we made it back to global where we helped out and hung out with ppl...i was still raining when they decided we should go to the store so i walked barefoot alot, which again, not a problem to me...but my pants kinda got soaked...like 8 or so inches up mypants leg...i had to wring them out whenever i came into a building...it was great.!
said bye to the global peeps after we ate dinner with them.
so then the concert..! it was POINT BLANK AMAZING!!!!! and i now am a fan of mr John Waller...look him up. hes pretty amazing! and i totally loved leeland before, but i love them even more now! and casting crowns was pretty awesome..we played name that song with them!
then, again, we went to sheets after and then played uno on the sidewalk with the guys (zach and tyler, and erin, tanja, michele and i) and so yeah. it was fun! we went inside around 12am...it was getting abit nippy...
then sunday we drove home...
fun times...!!!!!

college for a weekend. at liberty university. the responsible college seeking individual would come here this particular weekend to check out the campus, sit in on some classes, go to all the informational meetings, wear the name tag......
yeah, not so for michele and myself. we use this time of the year to vist lynchburg friends.
hey four days of lodging meals and a concert for the price of $30 a person if you bring a friend $50 if your alone... but still its awesome. and since michele and i have a bunch of friends here in lynchburg, speciffically at liberty, and we are both going to college far far away pretty soon, this just was the perfect way to hang out with all. plus we are staying with two of the coolest peeps on campus, tanja and erin.
so a busy weekend planned, we got here yesterday and went out to lunch with erin, then registered...we had to do some room swaping to get ppl out of our room...ne who then we met up with a friend from back in the day. which was AMAZING!! love you spencers!!!!! and we came back here, watched some hairspray and i passed out around the "ladies choice" song. and this morning we (michele n I) slept in, bout to go meet up with a friend for coffee and such, then lunch with another friend and then GLOBAL will be HERE!!!! so we are gonna go meet up with them! IM SUPER EXCITED!

and a Casting crowns/leeland concert tomorrow night! IM AMPT TO THE MAX TIMES 1000!!!!!!!

monday madness
ok FYI, thank you marks family for giving your ball pit to the Pelt family, i loved coming to your house to play in it, but i love it at the pelts even more cause the kids are so funny!!!!!!!! its awesome!
um k so monday, in the life of becky castle
early wake up call from michele, who was my ride to work.
morning went well.
we were in the gym with the kids and it all of a sudden i hear "you cant stop the beat" begin (ie, my ringtone, meaning my phone was ringing)
so i awsered the unfamiliar number and it was BCF. i had questions for my addmissions advisor, that went well. i was told that arriving to BCF on the 10th of august would be fine. so im okayed to not come back to stafford in august, just gotta finda ride to bcf, a bus will do....
k so then i had questions about financial ppl so he patched me through, and i heard some startling news....that startled me...(go figure) having to do with some woes of finances and such with school...so if yall could pray that it works out, i would LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!!
after that i just kinda was like, ok... Jesus has GOT IT!!! no worries!
(but still constantly pondering how it would all work out but yet not worried, just curious) so yeah...
but yeah, then i got my hair did after work by the amazing Mrs Lorrie Kennedy! she is awesome..
then i went over to tracee and jasons to watch kids where i got to unwind in the ball pit and watch my fav. disney movie ever "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" not to mention, i got to have a good two minute or so talk with tracee before the kids dragged me down to play!
as i was about to leave, i remembered that i had had troubles with the car getting there so i had to put transmission fluid in so that i could get home, so i did that...then i went home to continue going through my stuff to see what i have that i need for school....
i am now at the marks house (ie, my second home)

advise kinda needed....!!!
backing up really quick to help you understand some of the crazy side of it...im interning this summer with Global Youth Ministry. i leave to do that on May 19, which is 43 days away. i dont return from that til August 10th.ok so wednesday i got a call from my admin. counselor who told me that i have to be on the BCF campus no longer then August 13th. BCF is in Graceville Florida. about 20 hours or so away from Stafford Va where i am from. and neither one of my parents cars would make a 20 hour trip...which would be a 40 hour trip since they would have to come back. not to mention gas prices. so right now, my options of getting there are to pack for both school and global at the same time but separately, and send my college stuff down to the school before i leave for global. and then either come home for 48 hours in august to do laundry and say bye to everyone, or just fly or get a ride to graceville straight from global...the getting a ride to school from global and shipping my stuff down before i leave for global seems the best economically considering i really dont have the money to get a ticket to get to school....yeah, this is all really nuts.so i have 43 days to figure everything out, and actually travel plans i need to get done with like...NOW! this is nuts!!!!!any suggestions?!?!?!

AHH!
Ok, heres the ultimate update of whats happened in the last week or so...
fundraising for global is complete for Michele and myself, Thank you so much for all your help!
we still have tshirts to sell so if you want one, weve got them, and the money made from those will still go to global, but it will go towards funding for the other interns. many are struggling right now. my mom is still selling jewlry and will probably forever, but right now, any money made from jewlry or crafts she has made will go to the interns as well! so girls, come check out the goods! guys too, you can find something for your significant lady friend!
I was OFFICIALLY ACCEPTED to BCF yesterday! (Baptist College of Florida)
my move in day is August 13th. classes will start on the 18th!
Michele and i Leave for Global on the 19th of May and return around the 10th of August!
if you just noticed this, i return on the 10th of August and have to be in Florida by the 13th! lol I LOVE THIS!!!! its gonna be a nutty time!
if your wondering how in the world im gonna pull it off heres whats gonna go down.... this month will be spent getting ready for Global AND college! lol im going to pack up all my stuff for college before i go to global.
when i return in august for the short time i am here, i will do my laundry, see my peeps and then go! still not sure how im actually getting to school, but that can be determined later, well, soon but still later then this moment right now!
so lets see, im thinkin a lil get together is in order for the 11th of august!

oh yeah, and i got a super cool new phone on monday, ive had the same phone for like 3 years...and i only got that small lil upgrade because my other phone fell away from my possession on the slopes...i had had that phone for about 2 years...so now i have a super awesome new phone! im excited!

when i return in august for the short time i am here, i will do my laundry, see my peeps and then go! still not sure how im actually getting to school, but that can be determined later, well, soon but still later then this moment right now!
so lets see, im thinkin a lil get together is in order for the 11th of august!

oh yeah, and i got a super cool new phone on monday, ive had the same phone for like 3 years...and i only got that small lil upgrade because my other phone fell away from my possession on the slopes...i had had that phone for about 2 years...so now i have a super awesome new phone! im excited!
ok, im bout to have to run out the door to get to church to get some things done for youth group so i gotta scidattle!
