"i came what i got for!!"
the title might not make much sense, but it has a funny story behind it.
our last skit of the week is a SERIOUS skit. we try to make it as joke free as possible. sometimes that doesnt happen due to simple human error. gladdly the audience did a good job of holding in the laughs as one of our peope was trying to say "i already got what i came for" but then instead said "i already came what i got for"
it was hilarious, those in the tech booth, we just looked at eachother and laughed in shock, trying to say as quiet as possible.
oh, and we have this spirt stickish thing, its a bear, and its called Harrison...(as in harrison ford) well its awarded to the team that has the most spirit for the day. anywho, while the team that was awarded it on thursday was accepting it and had said the "oathe" and were about to go sit down, another camper from another team that was dressed like a ninja came running in snatched harrison from the team that had it. and then ran out the room....THE ENTIRE ROOM WAS in UTTER SHOCK!!!!!!! it was awesome!
and for the Jesus moments of the week....
the spirit moved awesomely! not to mention we had a sorta emo group this week.not to mention i did NOT eat the funk this week.
but the BIG THING!!! a kid who is HIGHLY alergic to bee stings got stung. it was scary. his heart stopped twice at the campsite and once at the hospital.and his lungs filled with blood. and he couldnt breath. time wise, they all arrived tuesday. this incindent happened wednesday morning. he came back to camp thursday at lunch. All i can say is that GOD IS AMAZING and he used that incident to reach alot of kids this week.
there may be more, but im fillingin for a friend this week on their job while they are in Kenya so i gotta go take care of the rest of that job.
love you all.
if you want to know, we are leaving for Bradengton florida on sunday morning.

SPELUNKING!!!
spelunking
1. (v) To explore virgin caverns, and or orafices. Best practiced with a helmet and possibly a light. (Unless it's scary looking, then forgo the light, but be sure to use the helmet!)
i thought that was a funny lil definition for it! it was SO MUCH FUN!! i loved it! its basically caving.
we left early(round 9:30)hahhah anywho, left wednesday morning for our adventure in the caves! the cave itself is not in an obvious location. infact, when we parked just on the side of the road i though that Steve was joking. in passing i would have never thought that there was a cave there. but we just went down this path that wasnt long at all and there it was, the cave!! it was a BLAST!!! climbing, crawling, rolling in mudd. i was covered from head to toe in mud! it was awesome! i wanna go back sometime. there was this room that you could go in down there that was called the music room and what it was was these rocks that were hollow and if you tapped them each would make a different sound! it was crazy! and then there was a natural slide in one part of it. and there was a great room that was three stories high, and you comin into it kinda like your on the 3rd level already, but you can go down to the bottom.
we didnt go to the bottom cause the ladder that used to be there was no longer there. and then there was this place called the art room and it was hard to get into, but when you get in it has a bunch of clay figures and such everywhere, they added this to the other art work, gotta leave GYM's mark!
the room itself is not big at all and if you didnt know about it prier to goin in you would never know it was there, you have to literally take your helmet off and inch your way through.
but all in all, it was an amazing site to see, all natural, all God's handy work. so intricate were the layers with in the cave, all carved by water flow(aka, God's hands!!)
here are some pics from the day

after coming out of the cave, i think i was the muddiest!

Down at the horse barn there is a new litter of puppies. we think they are a cross of jack russel and lab. but are not sure, the look like labs with shorter legs. SO CUTE!!! and like all puppies, as you walk away from them they rip your soul out with their cries! but you gotta love them!
